Analysis of static frictionless beam-to-beam contact using mortar method

Abstract This paper presents a formulation for frictionless beam-to-beam contact using the mortar method. The beams are modelled geometrically exact theory. A similar approach has been proposed very recently, with respect to which we offer based on Lagrange-multiplier method and simpler algorithm cover static interaction within zone analyse performance of different orders interpolation Lagrange multiplier in presence self-contact.
